Harvestmath Series - Lady of the Golden Harvest

Golds and light greens are still seen into late Autumn. They're some of the last colors to fade before Winter arrives, a symbol of the remaining warm weather and the last major Harvest--at least where I live. Thanksgiving is coming at the end of November for me, and I wanted to make an outfit capturing all of this. Unfortunately, there are no turkeys in Middle-earth...but I can certainly toss feathers into the air and pretend there are! This will give me a chance to wrap up this year's Harvestmath Series.

Within the past few weeks, I've finally managed to reach kindred status with the Malledhrim in Mirkwood. And with that accomplished, I was able to barter for the Exquisite Elven Dress with a Gold Star Emblem and ten Bronze Feathers earned through the region dailies. I've often seen this dress worn in the game, except I've never seen it dyed anything other than black or crimson. Keeping Harvestmath and Thanksgiving in mind, I decided to use gold that way I could integrate a particular circlet into the outfit.

The Harvest-brew circlet reminded me of the cornucopia, which is heavily associated with the American tradition of Thankgiving. Although in Greek and Roman mythology the cornucopia is literally a broken horn that provides endless nourishment, I still remember the hollowed out and braided wooden or wicker horns from my childhood filled with plastic fruits and veggies. The combination of the weave of the circlet and the green ornamentation is actually drew those memories to the surface.

From there, I added some green to the outfit to give it a little more balance while keeping it (mainly) simplistic.

Head: Harvest-brew Circlet (Default, Harvestmath Festival barter rewards)
Shoulders: Supple Wildermore Shoulderpads of Tactics (Dark green, T8 Wildermore tailor recipe)
Back: Reveller's Gilded Cloak (Dark green, LOTRO Store)
Chest: Exquisite Elven Dress (Gold, Mirkwood kindred rep vendor)

  1. this is lovely! The mantle and cloak look good in green, and the circlet is a nice touch that brings the dress and the other pieces together with the gold and green color scheme, very nice :D

    1. Thank you! This outfit had started with the Harvest-brew Circlet, as I have been trying to use it in an outfit since the 2012 Harvestmath Festival. Normally I don't start with circlets, as they're usually a finishing touch on my outfits if needed. Because this is one of the more unique and colorful ones, I wanted to give it a try.

Sorry for the late reply Gloredh, but it's been a hectic week with Thanksgiving approaching this Thursday!
